One Iron posted a wise word to all West ham fans going to Zagreb, stick together, its risky, it could be open season on West ham fans.
Apart from a few isolated incidents it went off quietly, more thanks to the streetwise nature of West ham fans. Dinamo Zagreb could only pick off small numbers as there was a good turn out and as One Iron suggested we did stick together.
Unfortunately 6 west ham fans are still there, banged up and unable to return.
Classic wrong place, wrong time. It kicked off, the OB nicked those in the vicinity.
The Croatian prosecution do not have enough evidence, however they refuse to let them go. The current situation is for the 6 to either plead guilty, pay 10K, or else wait 7-8 months banged up in Croatia awaiting a trial.
4 of them are kids, their first European trip, just wanting to have a great time following West Ham.
A number of us have had similar situations where unfortunately being a football fan comes with “you are guilty by association”. Can you imagine if it was football fans on the motorways protesting?
There is a justgiving page set up to help the parents get the best legal support they can out there. Speed is the priority, its been a week and we need to get them back and quickly.
Thanks for those that have donated to date, 2K has been raised, much more is needed. Any funds left over will go to the Isla Caton fund. Please share the link, raise the awareness and the amount. If 3K of us donate a tenner, then the funds are there to get the support on the ground they need.

Far be it for me to speak for everyone who donates to Gavvy's fund but although it was set up with helping WHO posters in mind, I can't see him objecting to it helping out other West Ham here, even if it is just a token offering.

Agree Mike.....I am in the process of sending £100 on behalf of WHO and as you say the fund is for west ham fans, we have donated on here to other causes even if they don't post on here, each case is based on merit. Thanks North Bank for the heads up

Thanks for posting Epsom. Greatly appreciated by all the families involved.
Just to bring more clarity on the below comments surrounding the situation in Zagreb. Contrary to reports the 2 mentioned below fighting each other are not members of the 5 that are effected and are not part of the 5 currently stuck out in Zagreb.
All 5 of them who are over there at the moment have been arrested with no evidence provided by the state in Croatia to show why they have been kept. They are being treated as Guilty until proven innocent - purely arrested for just being in the bar when it happened!
On the topic of the 71 year old Croatian, again not true.
W4hammer hits the nail on the head. Wrong place, wrong time. Was there myself with the 5 and the local police were hell bent on picking up any rogue West Ham that were there regardless if they had done anything or not.
All 5 are very good friends of myself and everyone can only express the highest thanks to every donation that has been made - it goes a long way in helping get these boys back where they belong.
Just remember everyone, not everything you read in the papers is gospel!

The article posted stated there were four arrested for one incident and two in another. That makes six, not five. Suggesting that these five chaps were in relation to a completely different incident.

Look, the way I see it is that I was not there, not that it matters
West Ham lads are in a spot of bother so I immediately whacked a round of beers their way, a gesture, a score, a round of beers ffs
I don't give a shit about the detail beyond their being our boys in bother, if a round of beers need some kind of audit then don't fucking bother asking
And if it transpires that anyone was out of order, they will take a correcting from our own, not Euro Plod
Just fire the boys a small round or don't bother questioning, to ask why is to not understand what we are
